#CoastalJobsGone

Ottawa is putting our communities at risk.

The decision announced by Minister Bernadette Jordan on Dec 17, 2020 to remove all farms from the Discovery Islands over the next 18 months could impact 1,500 Vancouver Island jobs and families. It also has the potential to put the entire BC salmon farming community at risk.

In response, Mowi Canada West launched the #CoastalJobsGone social media campaign, which is taking off! In just a few weeks, the campaign has generated 1,500 tweets reaching 115,000 users on Twitter alone.

We urge you to get involved.
